simple tweak of the start menu can remove
the "log off user" section
allowing you more space for more important
things.

Step
One: The system registry
Press
the start button
Select
Run
Type
in the command regedit
Then
press OK
Warning

Step
Two: Finding the correct value to change
On
the left side of the regedit menu you will
see a list of folders navigate you way
though these series of folders
HKEY_CURRENT_USER
\ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \
CurrentVersion \ Policies \ Explorer
Once
in the explorer folder move onto the next
step
Step
Three: Editing the data
Right-click
an open area in the right pane and select New
> DWORD Value
Name
it NoLogOff
Double-click
this entry and add the value 1
Changing
the value back to 0 will make the "log
off user" menu return in your start
menu should you ever wish for it to return.
Step
Four: Reboot
Easy
step, just simply reboot your system once
your back into windows 98 you will now see
that the Log off user menu has been removed
from your start menu.
